From our Family and Music Minister | I hope this week has been a great time for all our church family as you celebrate Thanksgiving.Ā This is one of my favorite times of the year. It is a great time to get together with family and friends and enjoy spending time with each other. Not only am I blessed with a loving family, but I am also blessed with a great church family. I know that several of my articles in the past have dealt with my church family. However, I can never stress enough the importance of being a part of one. They are always there during good times and during the bad.

From Our Pastor | How easy it is to become discouraged and defeated!Ā The condition of this world is disturbing.Ā The deliberate destruction of our nation is heartbreaking.Ā Life brings challenges and disappointments.Ā Times of adversity and difficulty can wear us down.
From our Family and Music Minister | The ability to memorize anything, much less scripture, is a talent I have never possessed. So even though I learned it unconventionally, one of the first scriptures I learned was the 23rd Psalm. Growing up, I had to stay with my dad for many hours at the funeral home. As boredom set in, I would walk all over the place, including the casket room. Engraved on the corners of one of the caskets was the 23rd Psalm. I always thought it was the coolest thing, so I constantly read it as I passed by. One phrase stood out to me as a child: āEven though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.ā So in my childlike mind, I understood that even though I might die, I shouldnāt be scared because I get to go to Heaven. However, even though our eternal home is priceless, I have come to understand that the statement means so much more.Ā
From Our Pastor | āI wish God would use me.āĀ Have you ever had that thought?Ā Perhaps there is a situation in your family that needs to be radically changed.Ā Or, you have a friend whose life desperately needs to be changed.Ā Maybe you look at the people around you and want to share the Gospel with them.Ā Iām sure all of us are wanting God to use us in some way.

From Our Pastor |Child of God, isnāt it wonderful knowing that we can trust our Father with everything in our lives?Ā The size and scope of the problem does not matter.Ā Our prominence among men is irrelevant.Ā Any hindrances are easily defeated by Him.Ā We can trust our Father in every circumstance.
