Operation Christmas Child Packing Night

Join us Wednesday, November 4, as we pack our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! We still need several items—especially toys and fillers—to help fill the boxes.

Items especially needed: Small toys (stuffed animals, toy cars, yo-yos, Slinkies, baby dolls, and Barbie dolls), underwear, socks, and flip-flops.

Please drop donations off outside Jonathan’s office, and plan to join us Wednesday night to help pack the boxes. Every item helps us fill a shoebox and share the love of Christ with a child!

Volunteers Needed for OCC Packing Party Preparation!

We need volunteers to help us get ready for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party! Join us on Thursday, October 29, at 4:00 PM in the Family Ministry Building as we set up and organize the tables with supplies for packing shoeboxes.

Many hands make light work, and we would appreciate your help!

We need volunteers to help serve at our Operation Christmas Child Relay Center! This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a ministry that shares the love of Christ with children around the world. Whether you can help for a few hours or several days, your time and service will make a difference. Click the link below to sign up for a time that works best for you. Thank you for helping make this ministry possible!

Pastor Search Survey

The Pastor Search Committee would like your input as we seek God's guidance in finding our next pastor. Please take a few moments to complete the Pastor Search Survey and share your expectations for our church's next pastor.

Please place completed surveys in the box outside Nikki's office or give them to any search committee member: June Whiddon, Daniel West, Libby Reynolds, Don Myers, or Allen Whitehead.

Blank copies are available in the church office. If you are unable to return your survey, a committee member will gladly come by your home to pick it up.

Your input is important, and we appreciate your participation in this process!

From Our Family and Music Minister

Have you ever been driving down the road when, all of a sudden, a strong storm rolls in? The rain begins pouring so hard that you can barely see what is in front of you. Suddenly, you're not paying attention to the cars in the other lanes, the billboards along the highway, or the signs advertising your next coffee or food stop. Your attention shifts to the few feet of road you can still see. You slow down, focus on the lines marking your lane, and carefully continue forward, even though you cannot see what lies ahead.

Our walk with God can sometimes feel the same way. Life brings storms, uncertainty, and unexpected changes. We often want to know what is coming next, how things will work out, and what the future holds. But God doesn't always allow us to see the entire road ahead.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)

Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us that our responsibility is not to figure everything out but to trust the One who already knows the way. Trusting God means depending on His wisdom rather than our limited understanding. It means remaining faithful to His Word, seeking His guidance through prayer, and taking the next step of obedience, even when we cannot see where the road will lead.

Throughout our lives, we will enter into new chapters. During these times, we may not know exactly what lies ahead. But we can be confident that the same God who has faithfully led us in the past will continue to guide us in the future.

Sometimes faith is simply taking the next step, trusting that God can see what we cannot.
