Thank You, Host & Hostess Committee!
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our Host and Hostess Committee for the many meals they prepare and serve with such love and faithfulness. From Family Night to the Harvest Banquet to the VIP Luncheon (and so many gatherings in between), your work helps create a welcoming place where fellowship grows and people feel cared for.

You don’t just cook food—you help our church minister to others through hospitality, service, and generosity. Thank you for the time, planning, setup, serving, and cleanup you quietly handle so often.

If you see someone from the Host and Hostess Committee, please take a moment to give them a big thank you—we are truly grateful for you!

All good things must come to an end! On Wednesday, January 7 at 5:00 PM, we will be taking down our Christmas decorations. If you are able, please come help us pack everything up and put it away. Thanks!
Don’t miss Brother David’s Mid-Week Devotions.
New messages are posted every Wednesday on our media page—take a midweek moment to be encouraged and refreshed in God’s Word.

From Our Family and Music Minister

Looking back on past Christmases, I think about all the things I just had to have. I waited in anticipation for months for some of them, and then when I finally got them, I wouldn’t stop playing with them… at least for a few weeks. A few gifts lasted longer, but most never lived up to the hype I had built up. Honestly, looking back, I don’t know if there’s anything I got for Christmas that I still even have.

That’s not to say those gifts were bad. It’s just that even the best things wear out, break, get outgrown, or get replaced. Batteries die. Screens crack. Trends fade. What felt like “everything” at the moment eventually becomes something we barely remember.
Christmas Eve reminds us that God gave a different kind of gift.

The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17). And the greatest gift God ever gave wasn’t wrapped in paper, it came wrapped in humility. “For unto you is born this day… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). Jesus is the gift that doesn’t break.

He doesn’t fade when the season ends. He doesn’t disappoint like our expectations sometimes do. He doesn’t get outdated, outgrown, or left behind. His peace can still calm anxiety. His presence still draws near when we feel lonely. His mercy still holds when we’ve made a mess of things. His love still reaches for us when we feel unworthy.

We may not have many of the gifts we opened years ago—but if we have Christ, we have what lasts.

So, on this Christmas Eve, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, let’s remember: the best gift isn’t found under the tree. The best gift is the One who came for us, to us, and still comes near to us.
