First Christmas Family Night – Cookbook Release & Covered Dish Dinner
Join us for our first Christmas Family Night in December as we celebrate the release of our church cookbook with a special covered dish dinner! Come enjoy some of the treasured recipes that have been passed down through the years in our church family. Also, we might have some fun Christmas games for everyone to enjoy. Make plans to attend and bring a friend.

We are looking for volunteers to bring the dish they contributed to the cookbook, or another favorite recipe. Please let us know what you plan to bring so we can ensure a good variety for everyone to enjoy.

Wednesday, December 10

Come enjoy a warm and festive evening with your church family as we gather for a wonderful meal and fellowship. This special night is all about celebrating the joy of the season together. We invite everyone to come ready to share one of their favorite Christmas memories—those meaningful, funny, or heartwarming moments that make this time of year so special. Your stories will help make the night even more memorable as we reflect on God’s goodness and the blessings of Christmas.

Final Family Night of the year – Choir Christmas Presentation

For our final Family Night of the year, the choir will be presenting “Long Expected, Forever Holy.” The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a time of food and fellowship in the social hall.

This is a wonderful opportunity to invite someone who needs to hear the Christmas message. We hope you will join us for this meaningful evening of worship and celebration.

If you need a ride to any of these events,
Please give the church office a call, 229-567-9320

Our WMU is collecting toys for “Toys for Tots”!

If you’d like to participate, please bring new, unwrapped toys and place them in the donation box located outside Nikki’s office.
All donations must be turned in by December 9.
Thank you for helping us bless children in our community this Christmas!

Thank You

Dear Church Family:

Thank you so much for your time, creativity, and hard work in decorating the church this past Sunday. The space looks beautiful, and your efforts created such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

I am truly blessed to be a part of such a dedicated congregation. I, along with the church, am so grateful for all that you do.

With heartfelt thanks,
Sami

Movie Night – Why the Nativity?

Movie Night – Why the Nativity?

Join us on Sunday, December 7th, at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary as we watch Why the Nativity?, a powerful film by Dr. David Jeremiah that brings the Christmas story to life. Through beautiful dramatization and biblical insight, the movie explores the deeper meaning behind Jesus’ birth and answers some of the most important questions surrounding the Nativity.

This is a wonderful opportunity to invite family and friends. The movie will end by 5:30 PM, giving everyone time to get home before dark. A bus will also be available for those who prefer not to drive at night—please let Jonathan know if you need a ride.
We hope you will join us for this meaningful start to the Christmas season!

Christmas Card Post Office

Get a head start on your Christmas cards!
The Christmas Post Office will open on Sunday morning, November 30th. To help us sort and distribute everything on time, we ask that all cards be turned in by Sunday, December 14th.

If you would like to send Christmas cards to church members here in Ashburn, simply drop them off and we will take care of the sorting and delivery for you. Collection boxes will be located throughout the church, and any donations to the Post Office will go toward covering shipping costs and supplies for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

From Our Family and Music Minister

Thanksgiving gives us a chance to slow down and remember God’s goodness. We thank Him for family around the table, the food we enjoy, and the blessings that fill our daily lives. But Scripture reminds us that there is an even deeper gratitude believers carry. A gratitude for what God has done in our lives and in our hearts. Psalm 66:16 gives believers a picture of thankfulness that naturally becomes testimony. “Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul” (Psalm 66:16, ESV). The writer doesn’t just reflect on God’s goodness privately; he invites others to “come and hear” what the Lord has done.

That same message should speak to us today. When we remember who we were before Christ, we shouldn’t be able to contain our excitement; it should naturally overflow from us. God didn’t just improve our lives; He rescued us, redeemed us, and brought us into His family. And when we are truly thankful for that kind of grace, it shows in our daily lives. It shapes our conversations, our priorities, and the way we care about the lives of the people around us.

As Thanksgiving approaches, many of us will sit with family members, coworkers, or friends who don’t yet know the hope we have in Christ. What better time to let our gratitude move beyond personal belief and into a chance to witness? We should desire to speak about the One who changed our lives and be willing to do so.

This week, ask yourself: Who needs to hear what God has done for my soul? Gratitude is more than words spoken around a dinner table; it is a life that points others to Jesus. May our thanksgiving not end with the holiday. May our thanksgiving be a testimony that draws others to the Savior we are so grateful for.
